You are invited to stay on the Noon’s ancestral family’s estate in Nurpur Noon, a village founded in the late 1800s.

Renowned for its rich agricultural lands, particularly its orange groves, this ever charming village has a strong equestrian culture, with traditions of polo and tent pegging. Deeply embedded in its heritage and rural Punjabi charm, it is a fascinating place to experience authentic Pakistani countryside life.

The house will serve as your residence whilst you explore the region including The Katas Raj Temple dating back to 600 CE, 11th century Forts, incredible salt mines and waterfalls or even the river crossing where Alexander the Great fought King Porus, and won - making it a significant victory for his campaign into India.

This incredible journey will end with two unforgettable days exploring the vibrant city of Lahore and its many wonders.

Meet the Host

Having grown up on the Estate, Saif is a keen polo player and master of the art of tent pegging!

Adventurous, enthusiastic, fun, super social and genuinely the nicest person on earth, Saif knows every single corner of the Estate and the surronding region. He is incredibly excited to be able to open his house and together, we cant wait to show you what his country has to offer.

As we have tried and built this together for you, I will add to his CV: “Master in the Art of Hosting and organizing” !

  • Day 1: Nurpur Noon & Tent Pegging

    Welcome to Lahore! Upon landing, you will be collected from the airport in SUVs direction Nurpur Noon, enjoying a scenic 2.5-hour drive.

    Around 11:00 AM, you’ll reach Nurpur Noon, where we will settle into our accommodation and get refreshed by the pool before a delicious lunch in the beautiful gardens, offering a chance to relax and enjoy a traditional meal.

    In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk to explore the beautiful surroundings and visit the stables. We will watch an exciting tent pegging demonstration (You are invited to try!) and ride camels or experience the thrill of the camel buggy.

    As the sun starts to set, you will unwind with drinks by the pool, soaking in the serene atmosphere with a laid-back barbecue offering a perfect end to your first day in Nurpur Noon.

    Day 2: Kataj Raj Temple & Mehwish Fort

    Start the day with a hearty breakfast before setting off to discover the exquisite Katas Raj Temple dating back to 600 CE, , a 1.5-hour drive away.

    After the Temple, we will go on a small treck to explore the beautiful Salt Range, a natural wonder made of rugged mountains and home to the historic 11th century Mehwish’s Fort.

    Lunch will be on the go to keep the day flexible and adventurous.

    In the afternoon, return to Nurpur for a cozy tea time in the living room and set off for a horseback riding hack through the scenic orange groves, try your luck at clay pigeon shooting or just relax by the pool before dinner.

    A formal seated dinner will be served in the dining room offering a perfect end to another memorable day.

    Day 3: Waterfalls and Salt Mines

    After breakfast, embark on a journey to discover the enchanting waterfalls - a hidden gem in the region located in a gorge long treasured by Saif’s family. This isa magical destination for private swims, perfect for a refreshing break before visiting the working salt mines where the renowned pink Himalayan salt is extracted.

    This unique experience offers a fascinating insight into the mining process and the history of the salt industry in the region.

    In the afternoon, travel back to Nurpur. Upon arrival, take the opportunity to unwind by the pool or enjoy a tea in the gardens alongside the miniature horses or maybe go on a camel ride!

    The day will conclude with a memorable dinner—a special Pakistani BBQ, served in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The smoky flavors and traditional recipes will provide a delightful culinary experience, offering the perfect end to a wonderful day.

    Day 4: Local Village & River Cruise

    After breakfast, head out to visit the nearby village. Meet the locals, stroll and visit local shops and admire the arts and crafts, gaining insight into the rich traditions of the region.

    Come back with a peaceful walk through the lush orchards, enjoying the natural beauty and tranquility of the surroundings before a charming lunch in the garden with a touch of traditional entertainment: a mesmerizing snake charming performance.

    Next, embark on a cruise over the Jhelum, where Alexander the Great fought King Porus,and won on what was about to become his new imperial frontier, making it a significant victory for his campaign into India.

    As the evening sets in, prepare for a black tie dinner at the house, a perfect way to say goodbye to this magical place.

    After dinner, the night will be filled with soulful melodies during a live Qawali music performance, providing a beautiful and authentic cultural experience to close the stay at the Nurpur Estate.

    Day 5: Lahore Polo Club & Museum

    Wake up for a last breakfast before heading to Lahore and check in at the Fred Hotel. Once settled, you can choose to enjoy lunch at the hotel or head to the prestigious Polo Club to catch, If timing permits, a thrilling polo game, adding a unique and vibrant experience to your visit.

    After lunch, spend the afternoon exploring the Lahore Museum. Delve into the rich history and culture of the region through its impressive collection of artifacts, art, and historical exhibits.

    The day offers a blend of leisure, culture, and the dynamic energy of Lahore, making it a memorable experience.

    Dinner will be at the trendy Fred’s hotel, where you will also stay.

    Day 6: Lahore Old City

    For your last day, indulge in some shopping around Lahore, exploring art galleries, bustling malls, and local markets for a mix of contemporary and traditional finds.

    In the afternoon, take a guided tour of Lahore’s old city, immersing yourself in the rich history of the Mughal era and witnessing architectural marvels and vibrant street life.

    For dinner, head to Andaaz, an exceptional restaurant located in the historic old city, offering not only incredible views and delicious food but also an ambiance that reflects the grandeur of the Mughal period.

    Conclude the day with farewell drinks, celebrating the memorable experiences of your time in Lahore and bidding a warm goodbye to the city.

ACCOMODATION

Nurpur House has been lovingly owned by the wonderful Noon family for several centuries…

It is an exquisite example of traditional Mughal architecture with Equestrian and Colonial themes. Simply a dream to look at.

This incredible house, which will serve as your residence, features 20 spacious rooms, each with a private bathroom and AC.

You can enjoy the spacious formal dining room, a lovely drawing room with two open fireplaces where tea is usually served, as well as a second house just accross the garden with a charming wrapped around terrace where one can relax in a long chair, transporting you back in time…

The fantastic private area for the swimming pool comes with a lounge, BBQ, sun chairs and a pool table, central to any late night in this magical place.

The lovely lawns will served as your favorite place for tea, some clay shooting or just petting the miniatures horses roaming around freely.

The estate is fully staffed, and the dedicated team will be on hand to cater to all your needs at any times throughout your stay.

Day 1: Nurpur Noon & Tent Pegging

After lunch, spend the afternoon exploring Lahore. We can delve into the rich history and culture of the region at The Lahore Museum with its impressive collection of artifacts, art, and historical exhibits or visit the Shalimar Gardens, built in the 1640s by the emperor Jahangir’s son, Shah Jahan, who also commissioned the Taj Mahal.

These were laid out as a Persian paradise garden intended to create a representation of an earthly utopia in which humans co-exist in perfect harmony with all elements of nature…

Dinner will be at the trendy Fred’s hotel, where you will also stay.

Day 6: Lahore Old City

For your last day, indulge in some shopping around Lahore, exploring art galleries, bustling malls, and local markets for a mix of contemporary and traditional finds.
